The Benefits of Contact Lenses
Contact lenses can be a liberating alternative to eyeglasses, providing a wider field of view and a more natural feel. Whether you’re active in sports, enjoy a glasses-free look, or simply prefer more flexibility in your lifestyle, contact lenses could be the perfect solution for you.
Getting the right contact lens fit begins with a comprehensive eye exam and a contact lens prescription.
Fitting Your Contact Lenses
A contact lens exam and fitting helps our team determine and eliminate possible factors that could affect your vision and comfort while you’re wearing contacts. In deciding which lenses are right for you, we consider your lifestyle needs, daily activities, the shape of your eyes, and your overall eye health.
Following your eye assessment, you’ll have the chance to try on some lenses to see which pair is comfortable and feels right. Our goal is to make it easy for you to find the right contacts.
We carry a wide range of contact lens types, cases, colours, and brands to offer you various options. These include disposable, bifocal, multifocal, and coloured contact lenses.
Your Contact Lens Options
Whether you’re looking for contact lenses to wear daily or weekly, we can help you find a choice that’s within your preference and budget. We also supply contact lens solution to help you take proper care of your new contact lenses.
We are proud to provide our patients with modern contact lens technology, and we will often have access to early releases of new technology.
Contact lenses typically fall under 2 main categories: soft contact lenses and rigid gas-permeable (RGP). We also offer different specialty contact lenses, such as ortho-k lenses for myopia control and scleral lenses for irregular corneas, keratoconus, and patients with dry eyes.
Scleral Lenses
Scleral contact lenses are larger than traditional contacts and rest on the sclera—the white part of your eyes. These lenses allow for extra space over your cornea’s surface that can add breathability and also contain a fluid reservoir between your lens and cornea that can provide relief for dry eyes.
Scleral lenses can be an excellent option if you find traditional contact lenses uncomfortable because of issues like dry eye and keratoconus. We offer scleral fittings to help you find scleral lenses that fit your eyes safely while offering comfort and clear vision.
Ortho-k Lenses
Ortho-k lenses are RGP contacts that are worn overnight to help control the progression and effects of myopia. Ortho-k lenses are inserted at night before sleep and taken out the following morning. These lenses gently reshape the cornea and are designed to reduce dependence on contact lenses and glasses throughout the day.
Daily Disposable Contact Lenses
Daily disposable contact lenses offer our patients a convenient, hygienic, and comfortable vision solution. With a fresh pair every day, these lenses minimize the risk of eye infections, eliminate the need for cleaning solutions, and provide consistent clarity and comfort.
Daily disposables are ideal for active lifestyles and occasional wearers alike.
Multifocal Contact Lenses
We offer multifocal contact lenses designed to provide clear vision at all distances, making them an ideal solution for those experiencing presbyopia. These lenses allow you to see up close, far away, and everywhere in between without the need for reading glasses.
Investing in Your Eye Health with Proper Lens Care
Proper contact lens care is essential for maintaining optimal eye health and preventing infections. Our team will give you comprehensive instructions on lens care and hygiene practices for contacts, including lens cleaning solution, storage cases, and replacement schedules.
We want you to have the knowledge and tools to safely and comfortably use your contact lenses.
